Rowan graduated from Portland State University in 2020 with a double major in Women’s Studies as well as Sexuality, Gender, and Queer Studies. They developed a passion around sexual and domestic violence prevention through their volunteer work at Portland State’s Women’s Resource Center, after which they began volunteering as an advocate at the Sexual Assault Resource Center which eventually led them to OCADSV where they are now the Executive Administrative Assistant and Communications Coordinator.
Rowan’s personal areas of academic interest center on the intersections of queer-fat identities, and outside of academia and work they also enjoy videogames, roleplaying games, any medium of art you can imagine, and caring for their arthritic dog, Riley (he/him)
