Local domestic and sexual violence programs can request individual technical assistance on a variety of subjects, including but not limited to, organizational development, program planning and management, information systems, anti-oppression, prevention and state/ federal compliance issues.
We provide a listserve to our programs in order to inform Oregon's movement to end domestic and sexual violence of current and emerging issues. This creates a forum to discuss current events in the field of violence against women, recent research and funding opportunities. To be added to the listserv email Chloe Massarello or call 503-230-1951.
Our local non-profit crisis centers receive a monthly electronic newsletter that focuses on topics that their staff can use with participants of their services, for program development and prevention/education messages.
OCADSV will tailor a 2-3 day series of workshops based on your area’s needs. The Coalition has an ability to reach 3 out of the 7 regions, in Oregon, during a year period. We rotate each year.
The Regional Workshops are free to member programs and are in addition to the technical assistance/workshops the Coalition can provide to your organization throughout the year. Non-member programs fees are $25 per person per day. Programs from other regions may participate, but will not have input into the agenda.
The Coalition produces a three-day conference that is held every summer. This conference allows advocates throughout the state to learn, network and develop new tools to take back to their workplace. It is a prime tool that management can take advantage of for staff development.
In addition to our Regional trainings, we provide train-the-trainers workshop to our member programs. We would love to come out to your program to provide staff training. We also may know of trainers in your area who could provide training to your organization. Please email us for more information or call 503.230.1951
The Coalition provides webcasting and podcasting. Training topics are developed by Coalition staff as well as by request. You can also view our podcasts on our youtube channel.
We prioritize providing training and technical assistance to our member programs. If you are not a member program and would like to request an the Coalition training, please email us for more information or call 503.230.1951
