Technology Safety Workgroup

To increase domestic violence and sexual assault advocates’ capacity to recognize and respond effectively to technology-facilitated abuse, the Oregon Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence has established a technology safety workgroup.

Much like the coalition’s other workgroups and caucuses, participants will have opportunities to network with other tech-savvy advocates across the state, learn more about this ever-changing field, and hopefully become subject matter experts on the intersections of technology and advocacy for their programs and community partners.

Prerequisites:

  • Must be currently in a direct service or systems advocacy role supporting survivors of sexual violence, stalking, and/or domestic violence in the state of Oregon;
  • Must be able and willing to participate in monthly conference calls (scheduling TBD), with the future possibility of workgroup projects and in-person train-the-trainer cohort sessions; and
  • Must be interested in the intersections of technology and domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking! (you do not need to be a tech nerd to join)
