VOA Oregon is seeking an experienced domestic violence advocate for a full time direct service position. The Emergency Services Specialist works in Home Free’s emergency housing and crisis line program, providing services that include but are not limited to: crisis line coverage, intakes, safety planning, individualized goal planning, assistance with arranging safe emergency housing and facilitating linkage to other supportive social services. This position works with the Emergency Services Coordinator to develop and enhance services to survivors in the homeless community.

Job Requirements: This position requires oral and written proficiency in English and a minimum of one year experience working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence and with diverse populations.  Qualified candidates will have a reasonable combination of related work and academic experience and an excellent working knowledge of local resources and of barriers faced by underserved survivors. This position requires mobile advocacy and requires a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a reliable vehicle.
