Jacksons Food Stores - Give the Gift of Peace

In an effort to stop domestic violence, Jacksons Food Stores and its customers have come together to raise funds for the annual Give the Gift of Peace Campaign. The campaign, which runs from November 28th through December 25th, helps raise funds for the prevention of domestic and dating violence and free civil legal services for victims through community awareness.

All Jacksons Food Stores throughout Oregon, Idaho, Nevada and Washington are selling paper doves in $1, $5, and $10 increments. The funds raised in each state are donated to promote domestic violence prevention and advocacy.

All proceeds are also matched dollar for dollar by the Jackson family, up to $75,000 each year. Since the campaign's inception in 2003, Jacksons Food Stores and their customers have raised over $600,000. The 2012 campaign was the highest grossing in the program’s history.
