Heather Peasley is the current intern from Portland State’s Masters in Social Work program. This is her final year in the program with a graduation date in June. Her undergraduate was obtained at Western Oregon University with a Bachelor’s in Sociology. She has interned and volunteered for S.A.B.L.E. House in Dallas, and the Marion County Victim Assistance Division. Heather is also a trained parent educator in Make Parenting A Pleasure and Circle of Security Parenting, and has been in the field of early childhood for five years working at a relief nursery in Salem. Her other work experience includes volunteer coordination and development, program management, and drug and alcohol courts.
Her time at OCADSV has been rewarding and insightful. Heather has helped with the annual conference, the IPV and Healthcare Workgroup, and assisted with SA 101 trainings. She looks forward to the remainder of her time with the coalition.
